--$9 Introductory Fares Available at www.spirit.com--

Miramar, Florida (June 23, 2011) - Spirit Airlines (Nasdaq: SAVE) today announced that the ultra low cost carrier will begin two daily non-stop flights between San Diego, California and Las Vegas on September 7, 2011, and will increase to three daily non-stop flights on September 22, 2011.

To celebrate, Spirit is offering $9 fares* (each way based on round trip purchase) at www.spirit.com available today and tomorrow.

"We are thrilled to welcome one of the nation's most successful low-fare airlines to San Diego International Airport," said Airport Authority Board Chair Robert Gleason.  "Spirit Airlines will give travelers more choices for making the trip between San Diego and Las Vegas, and this convenient new service is bound to benefit tourism in both cities. The arrival of Spirit Airlines underscores the Airport Authority's ongoing commitment to enhancing air service for the San Diego region."

"Spirit Airlines adds to the spirit of value and quality in air service, and we look forward to their arrival at San Diego International Airport in the fall," said Airport Authority President/CEO Thella Bowens.  "San Diego and Las Vegas are two of the most exciting destinations in the southwestern U.S., and Spirit Airlines will help connect them as never before."

"One year ago, Spirit Airlines was operating four departures a day to two destinations from Las Vegas.  Spirit Airlines continues to expand service to bring great value but more importantly, additional seats to the Las Vegas market.  We are very proud of our partnership and the announced additions to Spirit's schedule which are good for the Las Vegas valley and great for its passengers," says Elaine Sanchez, Public Affairs & Marketing Manager, McCarran International Airport.

"We are pleased to partner once again with Spirit Airlines," said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.  "Las Vegas is a popular destination for both leisure and business travelers, and these new flights provide those in San Diego with another easy way to get here."
